Meet Courtney!

Courtney Pugh – Group Fitness Trainer

Courtney is an adventure-seeker by nature. She would describe herself as passionate, spontaneous, and driven. Growing up in a family of all boys, she does have a competitive spirit but has channeled that into challenging herself, in all aspects of her life.

Courtney was a cheerleader and volleyball player in her younger years. She currently enjoys hiking, kayaking, yoga, and any physical activity that allows her to be outdoors.

Courtney enjoys travelling and is a self-proclaimed “foodie”. From her time as a member at Inspired Wellness, she has learned the importance of balancing her love for food and culture with an active lifestyle.

When she isn’t working with children as a Speech-Language Pathologist, you can find Courtney somewhere outdoors, exploring Sacramento and the surrounding areas with her boyfriend, and at Inspired Wellness, bringing her passion and high-energy to evening bootcamp classes!

Courtney’s Wellness Profile:

What Sets Inspired Wellness Apart?
Inspired Wellness is so much more than a “gym”. It is a community of people, from all different walks of life, coming together and creating relationships through health and lifestyle fitness. People genuinely care about each other.

What is Your Overall Wellness Philosophy?
My wellness philosophy is centred around the word “balance”. Life is a constant process of giving and take; finding that balance internally creates an outward radiance. Wellness includes more than just your physical health, it includes your mental, emotional, social, and spiritual wellness as well. I advocate for healthy eating habits and an active lifestyle, while still remembering to enjoy all that life has to offer along the way.

Favorite Workout Tunes:
Anything upbeat and with a good tempo. Usually, this means going back to my college-days of “House Music” with artists like Avicii and Calvin Harris, etc. I also enjoy female-empowering artists/rappers.

Latest Accomplishment:
I recently accepted myself where I am at on my health and wellness journey. True acceptance has taken me the greater part of my 29 years on this planet.

Teaching Style In 3 Words:
Energetic, interactive, and holistic

Favorite Exercises:
When I’m not at Inspired Wellness, scuba-diving, kayaking, or hiking. At Inspired Wellness, anything with the resistance bands, kettlebell swings, and box jumps.

Hobbies:
I enjoy a lot of things in this life: travelling, cooking, baking, scuba-diving, camping, hiking, kayaking, yoga, and so much more! I never like to be “bored”, so I am always doing something.

Favorite Wellness Quote:
“I have chosen to be happy because it is good for my health.” -Voltaire
