Meet Kathryn!

Kathryn Stevens – Group Fitness Trainer

Kath is a Carolina girl living in a California world! Growing up in North Carolina, Kath loved going to the Blue Ridge Mountains, riding horses, and being outdoors in nature. However, she never appreciated the value of physical exercise and wellbeing until her 20s. Up until then, Kath had believed working out and going to the gym was just for bodybuilders and professional athletes, and that “normal people” like her didn’t workout regularly.

After watching her peers genuinely care about their health and take care of their bodies, Kath knew it was time to make a change and start actively working towards health and strength. And as she grew stronger, she grew happier, too! Regular exercise became a way for her to work through stress and anxiety will feeling a sense of accomplishment. Since then, she has fallen in love with HIIT and plyo workouts, strength training exercises, and even running!

After moving to Davis in September 2018, Kath took up biking, completed her first 5k, and fell in love with the Inspired Wellness method. Over the past few years, Kath has learned that the gym is truly a place for every person and every body, no matter your experience. She is especially passionate about encouraging and supporting women in taking the steps to finding their own health and fitness journeys.

In her free time, you can find Kath exploring South Lake Tahoe (her new favorite hiking spot), rooting around the farmer’s market, or baking banana bread while watching The Great British Bake Off.

Kathryn’s Wellness Profile:

What Sets Inspired Wellness Apart?
I love that Inspired Wellness encourages people to work hard for your health, not for a certain aesthetic. It’s all about growing stronger and having fun doing it. I’m all about those non-scale victories!

What is Your Overall Wellness Philosophy?
Exercise should never be a chore; it should be something you’re passionate about. Not everyone has to be a runner, or a weightlifter, or any other sort of label. Find what works best for you, not what looks best to everyone else. It’s about finding something that makes you feel strong, happy, and energetic!

Favorite Workout Tunes:
Hamilton. No judgment.

Latest Accomplishment:
I just completed my first 5k, and am currently training for a 10k! My goal for 2019 is to run a half marathon, and I’m really excited about it.

Teaching Style In 3 Words:
Energizing, encouraging, empowering

Favorite Exercises:
Box jumps, goblet squats, and ball slams

Hobbies:
I love hiking and camping, and finding new places in California to explore. I also love to read and write, play board games, bake, and jam out to Broadway show tunes.

“She believed she could, so she did.”
