Meet Christine!

Christine Flok – Group Fitness Trainer

Christine is an athlete. She would describe herself with a number of personality characteristics, and though she knows “athlete” is a noun, for her, it is also a way of being.

She grew up in a family of athletes, constantly being active and with a healthy dose of competition. She was a ballerina for 15 years, and played field hockey up through the NCAA level, as a captain of her team. The two balanced her in her competitive nature and gave her some sort of calming rhythm in her life.

After college, and moving from rural Maine to San Francisco, Christine was introduced to not only new activities like Bikram Yoga, she was also exposed to the amazing growing seasons that continue to make her diet thrive.

These days, she can be either found on the Aussie Rules Football field, in the classroom teaching students about regional harvesting seasons, or foraging for fruits and veggies near her West Sac home.

Christine’s Wellness Profile

What Sets Inspired Wellness Apart?
Inspired Wellness is a community of like-minded individuals who are dedicated to helping themselves and others achieve not just their fitness goals, but their lifestyle goals.

Overall Wellness Philosophy:
I believe that physical and mental health should be a priority for everyone. This includes a range of mindfulness and self-care methods. Everyone has something that individually works for them to help them become the best version of themselves.

Favorite Workout Tunes:
I love a hard beat. This includes mostly hip-hop, but can range as far into pop as Beyoncé. If I can dance to it, I can workout to it.

Latest Accomplishment:
I beat Holland in an arm-wrestling match.

Teaching Style In 3 Words:
Drive, support & energize.

Favorite Exercises:
Jump squats, box jumps, & running laps!

Hobbies:
I love the outdoors, whether it be at the beach, on a trail, or in a tent. I am more sensitive than I may appear, and I love writing poetry and drawing comics from life-situations. This doesn’t deter me from my competitive nature. My wife and me play Aussie Rules Football for the Sacramento Suns, which is where I spend a lot of my time. When I’m not land-locked throughout the school year, I enjoy traveling on breaks, and experiencing different cultures’ ways of living and eating.

Favorite Wellness Quote:
“Don’t make excuses, make results.”
