Meet Michele!

Michele Frayne – Group Fitness Trainer

Michele has been an athlete ever since she could walk. Softball, volleyball, basketball, and track and field were her main loves. Michele went on to compete in track and field on the collegiate level and was a national qualifier in the hurdles, javelin and heptathlon. Following college she coached at East Stroudsburg University for six years before moving to Sacramento with her wife Melissa.

Michele is a certified personal trainer, has instructed at the National Personal Training Institute and coached track and field at St. Francis. One of her passions is organizing local events. She has worked on the Tower Bridge Dinner, the Farm to Fork Festival as well as a few of the USA Track and Field meets at Sac State. She is excited to bring that enthusiasm to the events and programs at IW.

These days Michele can be found spending time with her family on her back deck, playing a XOSO sport, volunteering with Sac State women’s rugby team, or snuggled up with a good Debbie Macomber book.

Michele’s Wellness Profile:

What Sets Inspired Wellness Apart?
Inspired Wellness is all about community and supporting one another. Whether you have attended one class or have been coming for years, every time you walk through the door you see a friendly face and feel at home.

What is Your Overall Wellness Philosophy?
Balance. No matter how many times you workout in a week you need to focus on what you are putting into your body. Use food as fuel to help you feel more energized, sleep better and reduce stress.

Favorite Workout Tunes:
When I am working out alone I love to play my country playlist. For classes I try and find anything upbeat and with a great drummer!

Passing my NASM exam and joining the strong group of female trainers at IW!

Teaching Style In 3 Words:
Motivational, effective, organized.

Favorite Exercises:
Power cleans, box jumps, push jerks. Anything power related!

Hobbies:
Camping with my wife and golden retriever, exploring Tahoe, watching sports (especially Philly sports!), reading and cycling.

Favorite Wellness Quote:
“Life is about balance. The good and the bad. The highs and the lows. The thing everyone should realize is that the key to happiness is being happy by yourself and for yourself.” -Ellen DeGeneres
