Meet Naima!

Naima Reddick – Group Fitness Trainer

Naima is a life long team player. She grew up with a close in age sister in a tight-knit family unit in the Bay Area. She picked up Rugby in high school and followed an oval shaped ball all around the world. It wasn’t just the sport but the spirit of team that kept her involved. When many of her friends began to retire from rugby Naima picked up on some common themes, they just didn’t know how to workout for their new lives.

During the same time frame, many of her friends began to have children and again she heard the same thing, they didn’t know how to work out for their new life. Priorities changed, bodies changed, access changed. That’s when Naima realized that health wasn’t just about lifting weights and running sprints, it was about taking care of your whole self and that was going to look different for everyone.

It was that realization that led Naima to get her Personal Training Certification and start looking for opportunities to be part of a different kind of team. Naima firmly believes that health and wellness isn’t dictated by diet culture, a scale, or a clothing tag, but by learning to express your self through movement.

When not in the gym, you can find Naima learning how to DIY around her house, watering her back yard jungle or chasing her nephew.

Naima’s Wellness Profile:

What Sets Inspired Wellness Apart?
It’s funny, my mom asked me this same question when I told her I got hired at IW. What sets Inspired Wellness apart for me is the vibe of the community. It’s a come as you are, work for yourself type of vibe. For me, that’s really important because I don’t see working out as a way to change yourself but as a way to express yourself.

What is Your Overall Wellness Philosophy?
My overall wellness philosophy is ‘Everything in Moderation’. My nana said that a lot when I was little and as I spend more time on this earth I realize how right she was. It’s easy to get lost in trying everything to the max, allow yourself time, space, and grace.
