Meet Emily!

Emily Ashlin – Group Fitness Trainer

Emily is a pursuer of overall health and wellness. She grew up playing various sports but by the time she graduated high school weighed over 220 lb. Over the course of the last 10 years through small, manageable life style changes Emily has lost nearly 90 pounds.

Through this weight loss journey, Emily discovered a love for fitness and nutrition, not only because of her physical transformation, but because of the mental transformation that came along with her training.

She is a firm believer that regardless of how big or small your goals may be, they are worth reaching for.

When Emily isn’t in the gym or meal prepping in the kitchen, you can normally find her enjoying the outdoors with her dog and husband.

Emily’s Wellness Profile:

What Sets Inspired Wellness Apart?
At Inspired Wellness, you can come as you are! The environment is so welcoming and friendly, I felt like I was a part of the community the moment I walked through the doors.

What is Your Overall Wellness Philosophy?
Wellness doesn’t only mean working out, nutrition, and weight loss. Wellness means finding a balance that allows you to love yourself, love your life while being active and making healthy choices.

Favorite Workout Tunes:
I love anything with a good beat! Whether it’s rock, hip-hop, or pop; as long as it keeps me moving I’ll put it on. I especially love it when I find songs that the beat matches the speed of my reps!

Latest Accomplishment:
I really love weightlifting and building strength. Recently, I was able to back squat 200# for multiple reps for the first time!

Teaching Style In 3 Words:
Goofy, Encouraging, Invested

Favorite Exercises:
Hands down: Squats. The more and deeper the better! And, as much as even I hate doing them, burpees are such a great movement because you can do them anywhere and they work your entire body!

Hobbies:
Outside of the gym, I really love spending as much time as I can with my husband and dog. We love cooking, trying new restaurants, reading, and traveling!

Favorite Wellness Quote:
“Your best is always enough – but you have to give it.” – Jen Widerstrom
