Meet Nancy!

Nancy Nash – Group Fitness Trainer

Nancy is honored to be a part of the Inspired Wellness community as she shares in their mission to make fitness fun and approachable for people from all walks of life. She believes that if she can do this, anyone can.

Growing up, Nancy loved hiking, swimming and playing outdoors with her 10 siblings. As she sprouted she felt awkward, sprained her ankles a lot, and felt very out of place in gym class. Her relationship with food was a bit thoughtless as a kid, and Nancy remembers starting 5th grade feeling like ‘one of the fat kids’. Even as an awkward duckling, she never gave up on trying new things, and although she didn’t make the high school field hockey team, she did discover that she loved to run.

Nancy’s relationship with a healthy lifestyle and her weight went back and forth over the next two years. When her husband Brian came down with a frightening case of pneumonia, she woke up to the reality of their high weight and blood pressure and began a journey to wellness.

Over 7 years, Nancy has lost about 170 lbs, and wants to help others uncover their most empowered self. More notable than her physical transformation is the evolution of her perspective. She believes that life is what you make it and that there is no time better than the present to start being the person you want to be. Nancy has learned to embrace her inner awkward duckling, and is a self-proclaimed ‘obnoxious optimist’, and works to find the fun in every part of life.

I have pretty eclectic music taste ranging Underground Punk to Peppy Pop.

Latest Accomplishment:

I am very proud to have recently become an ACE certified personal trainer.

Enthusiastic, Fun, sprinkled with goofy 8th grader.

Favorite Exercises:

I like learning new variations of things, and having my balance tested.

Hobbies:

I love diving, photography, cooking, blogging, scuba diving, and snorkeling. I love the ocean and sea creatures great and small. I love to run, hike, and play outdoors. I love yoga, singing, and busting out bad dance moves. I would love to hike a volcano, learn to surf, and meet a shark….but not all at the same time.
