Meet Rojaye!

Rojaye Pobre – Group Fitness Trainer

Rojaye comes from a family of eights members as the eldest boy and the first child to attend college.  Although currently residing in Sacramento, he is attending UC Davis for Nutritional Science and Exercise Biology so he can pursue his passion for spreading good health habits to the public and influence people to live a better, healthier lifestyle.

His passion for this idea came to him as a child but wasn’t taken too seriously until the end of high school when he noticed a lot of health problems within both sides of the family and learned a lot about the health issues that the U.S. population is currently at risk for.

Throughout his life he’s played many sports, sometimes competitively, such as baseball, football, soccer, track, etc. but his favorite will always be basketball.  He has played basketball since he was five, loves watching basketball almost as much as playing it, and his first word as a toddler was “ball.”

A lot of his childhood had a big influence in why he developed his love for fitness such as being raised around a few athletic cousins and constantly watching the cartoon anime “Dragon Ball Z”, idolizing their characters as an inspiration to what he wanted to be when he grew up.

Rojaye plans to make the health and fitness industry his career path to help change lives for the better.

Rojaye’s Wellness Profile:

What Sets Inspired Wellness Apart?
I believe Inspired Wellness feels a lot like a community of people who are enthusiastic to grow and improve not only just individually but as a group, rather than just a business. It doesn’t matter if it’s a small goal or long term thing, we always encourage one another to strive for the better.

What is Your Overall Wellness Philosophy?
I think there’s always room for improvement and remember to stay open-minded, rest efficiently, and learn more.  Whenever you give into the temptation to slack off you’re setting yourself back a day, a month, a year, or who knows how long from your goals.

Favorite Workout Tunes:
I enjoy all genres of music from pop, dubstep, country, hip-hop, rock, house, etc. but what can always work for me is some of the old Eminem and Linkin Park’s songs.

Latest Accomplishment:
Be able to get a bunch of friends, colleagues, and even my own mom to make a fitness goal or change for themselves this year(2017). For latest personal fitness accomplishments would be a 3-clap push-up and a muscle-up while maintaining a weight close to 200.

Teaching Style In 3 Words:
Teaching style is enthusiastic, consistency, and engaging.

Favorite Exercises:
A lot of press exercises or core involvement!

Hobbies:
Working out of course! Basketball, cooking, finding new music, and shoe fanatic.

Favorite Wellness Quote:
“…it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!” -Sylvester Stallone, Rocky Balboa

“Pain is temporary, but eventually it will subside…. you’re already here. you’re already in pain.  Get a reward from it” -Eric Thomas
