36 pounds OFF and no more back pain!

“My name is Mary and I am a nurse and mother of three boys. I was fortunate enough to have a brother that was getting married, who introduced me to Sham Sanghera to help us get in shape and lose weight before his wedding. I have a very busy schedule with 3 young boys, 5-3-9 months and working full time as a nurse at the hospital. I did not have the time to get to the gym and I had been overweight since my 1st child. I was lucky enough to meet Sham and he brought his expertise to my home. I told him that I wanted to learn exercises that I could do at home and didn’t want to have to buy a ton of weights or fitness machines. He showed me things that were very simple and taught me the importance of each move. He adapted my training, taking into account 2 previous injuries to my back and ankle. I am a nurse and have had to wear a back brace everyday to work. I have not worn the brace after 3 workout sessions with Sham and my back doesn’t hurt at all.

Another bonus I have experience with Sham is his knowledge in Nutrition. I was able to go to the grocery store with him and find healthy alternatives to the daily things that I bought at the store. He also showed me how to read the nutrition labels correctly and understand that when things say “low fat” that they really aren’t that low in fat. I have recommended the nutritional consulting to everyone that will listen. Even working with nurses who know what is healthy and what is not, we have all learned so much from Sham. More so, my husband who is a track coach has been able to see how unhealthy of an eater he is and he has made a conscious effort to change his eating habits. I am so happy to be able to make the right choices now for my family. My young children haven’t even notice that I have made simple changes to their meals to make them healthier.

The style of Sham’s training is very educational. I love it, because it helps me to understand and also explain to others the reason for doing the exercises the proper way. It also helps me to remember my training when he isn’t here to workout. I am not a big runner, but do try and walk every single day. To burn calories, you don’t have to be an intense athlete; you just have to move more. I now walk about 5 miles a day and love it, because it gives me a chance to talk with friends and listen to music without children bugging me. It has become my time. Having a trainer who will come to your house is amazing. You don’t have to be embarrassed or worry about someone seeing you, as you do at a gym. It also allows you to do things at home on your time, plus the convenience for me to not have to take my kids to daycare or find a baby sitter is wonderful.

I use to take naps everyday when my children would, but now I don’t know when I took a nap last. I have so much more energy and seem a little addicted to working out and wanting to be healthier. I actually get grumpy when I haven’t worked out. Since starting with Sham 3 ½ months ago I have lost 36 lbs and feel wonderful. I have had to get all new clothes and even some of those are starting to be too big for me. The wedding is 2 weeks away and I am so excited to be where I am today. I feel and look amazing and that is everyone else says.
