February 2019 Member Profile: Karol King!

Every month we feature our awesome members. They are inspirational, they rock and we wouldn’t be where we are without their continued support of our wellness movement. Our February Member Profile is Karol!

What’s your favorite wellness quote?
“Those who think they have no time to exercise will sooner or later find time for illness .”

What are some of your favorite exercises?
Biking, kayaking and yoga.

What motivates you to stay healthy?
There are a lot of preventable illnesses in my family history. I see how these affect people and know that I want more from life.

What do you do to stay balanced in your daily life (hobbies)?
I volunteer a lot with an animal rescue and the Wounded Warrior’s Project. I also do a lot of outdoor activities like backpacking, scuba diving and biking.

If this food/meal were the last available on Earth and you were the lucky recipient, what would it be?
Ricotta, stuffed pasta, shells with red sauce, garlic bread.

What are three of your upcoming goals NOW, in one year and in five years?
My goal now is just to get stronger, I haven’t thought much about my future wellness goals in life. I’ve started to work on my bucket list items and I’m slowly and I’m slowly checking off places I wanted to visit.

What are some songs currently on your playlist?
IDGAF by Dua Lipa, Shout to My Ex by Little Mix and Nice for What by Drake.

What do you do for fun locally?
I enjoy the bike trails along the river and kayaking.

Describe yourself in 3 words:
Adventurous, geeky and loyal.

How has Inspired Wellness impacted your life?
I have learned I can push myself harder than I thought I could.
