What’s your favorite wellness quote?

“Strength is never a weakness” – Mark Bell

What are some of your favorite exercises?

I enjoy squats, deadlifts and shoulder presses.

What motivates you to stay healthy?

I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life. About 6 years ago, I just decided to stop complaining and do something. At first I was doing powerlifting, but after some years I wanted to explore other outlets. Currently what keeps me motivated to show up to workouts and eat healthy is my outlook in life. I know that staying active and the calories I’m consuming are more than that. They allow me to function properly and stay content with myself. Also, it’s always so much fun buying workout clothes!

What do you do to stay balanced in your daily life (hobbies)?

Other than working out and lifting weights, I enjoy reading poetry books and sippin’ on coffee and beer.

If this food/meal were the last available on Earth and you were the lucky recipient, what would it be?

Pizza! I love pizza! If I could eat this everyday I would! Don’t tell my husband!

What are three of your upcoming goals NOW, in one year and in five years?

My current goal, is to continue to COOK my meals for the week. (I’m an awful cook.. so meals get boring)

My one year goal is to be in a different state of mind where I can wear a bathing suit comfortably.

And my five year goal is to still enjoy working out as much as I have for the past 6ish years.

What are some songs currently on your playlist?

I will forever enjoy late 90’s rock so as long as some are in the mix I’m good!

But my current top 3 are:

  1. Mr. Brightside – The Killers (who doesn’t love this song!)
  2. All the Small Things – Blink 182
  3. Fat Lip – Sum 41
What do you do for fun locally?

I love going to coffee shops, breweries and new restaurants.

Describe yourself in 3 words:

Friendly, caring and STRONG!

How has Inspired Wellness impacted your life?

Inspired wellness has been a fun and different experience altogether. Previously in powerlifting I followed a program and did my movements alone. Here, I am able to workout while I mingle with all the amazing people. I am continually motivated by my comrades to push to the finish line. It feels amazing to have great individuals in my corner, cheering me on.
